Cobra 19 MINI AM/FM CB Radio with Color LCD Display, RF Gain, Auto Squelch & Auto Power

I mounted this 19 MINI in my Jeep dash where a full-size radio would never fit. The color LCD is crisp and easy to read in daylight, and RF gain plus auto squelch mean I'm not fiddling with knobs on the trail. Reception on channel 4 with our local trail group is clean, and FM mode really does cut the noise. For $39.98, this is a steal.

Half off made this an easy buy and I'm glad I did. It's compact, the display looks way more modern than my old Uniden, and setup took ten minutes. Sound quality is good but I do wish the RF gain had a slightly wider range. Still, for a compact unit at this price, hard to beat.

The feature set for the size is genuinely impressive — auto power, auto squelch, FM capability, nice screen. My complaint is the built-in speaker gets tinny at higher volume with the top down on my ATV. An external speaker jack solves it, but plan on that extra purchase if you're loud environments. Otherwise a capable little CB.

Bought this for my 19-year-old's first truck and he loves it. The auto squelch was the deciding factor — no dead-key silence blasting through the cab. He's on the radio every commute and the color display matches his interior lighting, which apparently matters a lot at that age. Great value.

I've run full-size Cobra 29s for twenty years and bought this as a backup for the second vehicle, half expecting it to feel like a toy. It doesn't. The receiver is sensitive, the squelch actually works, and being able to switch to FM for newer radios is a genuine advantage. The compact size means I mounted it in the ashtray area of my pickup. Impressive little radio.
