Cobra Elite Series Direct Wire SmartCord Hardwire Kit for DualPro 360 and Road Scout Radar Detectors (Select Color)

Hardwired my DualPro 360 above the mirror and you can't see a single wire from the driver's seat. The mute button module mounts within thumb's reach and works flawlessly. Instructions were clear enough even for a modest DIYer. Wish I'd done this years ago instead of fighting the 12V cord.

Everything works perfectly and the build quality matches the Elite cord. Just note you'll need to source your own fuse taps or an add-a-circuit if you want the cleanest hookup. Once wired to an ignition-switched fuse, the detector powers on with the truck automatically.

Took about 45 minutes including tucking the headliner wire. Looks factory installed.

The kit itself is solid, no complaints about the hardware or the mute button. Routing the wire through the A-pillar and headliner took me over an hour and some trim removal tools would have helped. If you're not comfortable pulling trim, budget for a professional install.

Straightforward hardwire, everything I needed except the fuse tap which I already had. Mute button placement is exactly where I want it. Detector auto powers with ignition which is a nice QoL upgrade.

I'm 68 and still did this install myself in my F-250, so it's very doable. Wire length is generous and the included hardware feels quality. Took off a star because the instructions don't cover all vehicle fuse box locations. Once done though, zero clutter and the auto on/off with ignition is wonderful.

Install went smoothly and I loved the clean look for the first few weeks. Then the mute button stopped responding and the unit started cutting power intermittently over bumps, suggesting a loose internal solder joint. Reverting to my cigarette lighter cord for now. Support says warranty replacement is on the way.

My local shop quoted me $120 for a hardwire install, so I bought this kit and watched a couple of videos instead. Thirty minutes of A-pillar tucking later, my Road Scout looks like it came from the factory that way. The mute button module is the same quality as the cord version. Extremely happy with the purchase.
