Goal Zero Escape Towable Kit – Vehicle Charging Kit for Yeti PRO 4000 in Trailers and Towables

Towing our travel trailer to Moab this spring, the Escape kit kept the Yeti PRO 4000 topped off the entire drive. No more arriving to a half-drained battery and waiting for solar to catch up. Wiring into the trailer's 7-pin was straightforward with the included harness. Absolutely recommend for anyone who tows with a power station aboard.

Charges the Yeti while we drive. Simple as that.

The charging works great — steady input the whole drive. My complaint is the routing instructions for the harness weren't specific to my trailer model so I spent an afternoon figuring it out. Once installed, it's been maintenance-free for 2,000 miles.

We drive two days to our dispersed camping spots and used to arrive with maybe 60% charge. Now we roll in at 100% and start with full solar headroom. The connectors are weather-sealed and have survived two dusty seasons. Worth it.

It charges, no doubt, but the input while towing is more of a top-off than a fast charge. On our 5-hour drive we gained about 40%. Fine for maintenance, less so if you drained the Yeti hard the night before. Build quality is good.

Install took an hour with basic tools. Harness feels OEM-grade and the connections have stayed corrosion-free through rain and road salt. Charging is consistent at highway speed. Happy with the purchase at the sale price.

The kit's trailer-side connector didn't match my 2021 tow package as listed, so I needed an adapter from the parts store. Frustrating for a plug-and-play product. Charging performance once adapted has actually been fine, so stars reflect the fitment hassle.

Installed in our horse trailer where we camp at rodeos all summer. The Yeti charges while hauling and we never think about it. Exactly what I wanted.
