Goal Zero Ranger 300 Briefcase Foldable 300W Solar Panel

The build quality on this panel is outstanding. The briefcase form factor makes it easy to carry and set up takes under a minute. It consistently pulls close to 250W in full sun on my Yeti. Exactly what I hoped for.

300W of real solar output in a foldable briefcase is impressive. It's heavy, so plan accordingly if you're backpacking — this is more of a base camp or van panel. Charges my Yeti 1500X from empty in a single good sunny day.

Unfold, angle it toward the sun, plug in. Done. The kickstand legs feel sturdy and the hinges don't feel like they'll wear out. Great panel.

On a cloudless day it hits 260W+. Any clouds and it drops fast. Works well, just manage expectations on overcast days.

Keeps our home backup battery charged through outages. My husband and I can both carry it thanks to the briefcase design. The cable management is tidy and the connector feels secure. Very pleased overall, just wish it included a longer extension cable.

I've had this panel through a summer and fall of camping trips and it has never let me down. The glass surface cleans up easily after dusty trips. Even with the case thrown in a truck bed repeatedly, no damage. These things are built to last.

The panel works reasonably well in mild weather but I noticed significant output drops on hot afternoons, which is exactly when I need it most for summer camping. Setup is easy and the construction is nice, but the real-world summer performance didn't match my expectations for a 300W panel.
