Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 150/45 Solar Charge Controller, 150V 45A, 12/24/36/48V with VE.Direct (Bluetooth via Dongle)

Upgraded from a PWM controller and my daily solar yield jumped roughly 25%. Performance is top-notch and my batteries have never been healthier since switching to this. Only gripe is that Bluetooth requires buying the VE.Direct dongle separately — build it in like the SmartSolar line, please. Otherwise the tracking efficiency, build quality, and app support are all superb.

The controller itself charges my bank beautifully and MPPT tracking is noticeably better than my previous unit. Getting the Bluetooth dongle paired took a few tries and a firmware update before it behaved. Once running, it's been set-and-forget for two months. Docking a star for the initial pairing headaches.

The fan-less design means zero noise, a blessing in a small cabin. Documentation could be clearer about battery preset options, but the defaults have worked fine.

I've owned cheap MPPT controllers that lied about their ratings and died within a year. This is the opposite — honest specs, oversize heatsink, and flawless operation through a full season. The 45A rating is conservative in the best way. Buying the dongle for wireless control was worth it.

First unit had a faulty VE.Direct port that wouldn't communicate. Vendor swapped it quickly and the replacement has performed well for a month. Can't fault the performance, but QC clearly missed something on the first one.
