The Phoenix 24/1200 is rated 1200VA. In this 120V AC NEMA configuration, continuous output is 250VA with 400W peak power handling. It's designed for moderate AC loads like LED lighting, chargers, and small electronics — not full 1200W continuous loads. High start-up power handles surging loads such as power converters and electric tools at start-up.
Yes — the 120V NEMA GFCI version of the Phoenix 24/1200 delivers 250VA continuous / 400W peak. This is normal for the 120V variant of this model; check your continuous load before purchase.
Plan for loads up to 250VA continuous with brief peaks to 400W — ideal for LED lamps, laptops, small tools at start-up, and electronics that need clean pure sine power.
Connect via the VE.Direct port (cables/dongles sold separately) with VictronConnect or a computer, then enable ECO mode: the inverter switches to standby (0.8W zero-load draw) when load decreases and wakes automatically when a load is detected — maximizing battery life.
Perfect for 24V RV, marine, and off-grid setups powering LED lighting, laptops, and small AC electronics with clean sine wave power. Hybrid HF technology keeps it compact and lightweight.

Yes — the 120V NEMA GFCI version supplies 250VA continuous with 400W peak power. Size your loads accordingly.
Connect via the VE.Direct port with VictronConnect (dongle or cable sold separately) and enable ECO mode; the inverter then switches to 0.8W standby when loads decrease and wakes on demand.
LED lighting, laptops, chargers, and small electronics needing clean pure sine power, with high start-up power handling for surge loads like small tools.

I've been running this Victron Phoenix 24/1200 in my off-grid cabin for about four months now, and it hasn't skipped a beat. The pure sine wave output is genuinely clean — my CPAP machine, laptop chargers, and even my old drill all run quieter than they did on my cheap modified sine inverter. The GFCI outlet is a nice safety touch for a damp workshop environment. Setup was straightforward with proper 4 AWG cables and a 150A fuse. Worth every penny, even before the discount.
Swapped out a no-name 24V inverter for this Phoenix and the difference is night and day. Zero fan noise at light loads, and the low-power Eco mode barely sips from my battery bank overnight. Built like a tank. Highly recommend.
The Phoenix 24/1200 does exactly what it promises — smooth 120V sine wave output from my 24V bank. Took me a while to understand the VE.Direct config options, but the docs are good once you dig in. Only gripe: the NEMA outlet could use a flip-up cover if you're mounting it in a dusty space.
Power output is stable and my fridge and microwave run fine on it, no complaints about the sine wave quality. However it does get noticeably warm when pushing near 800-900 watts continuously, and the fan kicks in pretty loudly. Also wish the terminals accepted larger cable more easily. Decent inverter, just know its limits.
The unit itself seems well made and works properly, but mine arrived with a loose screw rattling around inside the case. Had to open it up and tighten things myself before I trusted it. Customer service was slow to respond. Docking stars for QC, not performance.
