The Cobra MR HH350 FLT is the best-value floating handheld VHF marine radio in Cobra's lineup, backed by 65 years of Cobra quality. With 6 watts of power for longer range, an orange core for high visibility, and BURP water clearing, it's on sale for $63.98 — down from $139.95, a 54% discount — with free shipping over $45 and an extra 12% off via coupon OUTPOST12 at PowerHaven Outpost.
Buyers consistently rate the HH350 the value leader for floating VHF. Common questions: low volume is usually solved by cleaning the speaker port and using BURP after water exposure; the noise-canceling mic works best held 1–2 inches from your mouth. Any unit issue is covered by Cobra's warranty — buy from PowerHaven Outpost for straightforward support.
Cobra has introduced the BlueBound 350 as the updated model, but the MR HH350 FLT remains in stock here at closeout-level pricing — making now the best time to buy if you want proven hardware for less.
Run the BURP function to clear water from the speaker, check that the volume knob is past the detent, and clean the speaker grille. Salt crust is the most common culprit.
Register your MMSI through the NOAA/USCG MMSI registration site for boaters using DSC-equipped equipment. Note the HH350 is a core VHF unit — DSC distress calling is found on fixed-mount models like the MRF77 GPS.

Upgraded from a 3-watt radio and the difference in range and clarity offshore is noticeable. The BURP function cleared water out of the speaker after a wave hit and audio came right back. NOAA alerts run all day in the background without killing the battery.
This thing is loud. I can hear it over my outboard at cruise. Very happy.
Used it every weekend from May through September on Lake Erie. Never lost contact with the group. It floats which is mandatory for me after watching my old radio sink. The keypad lock is handy when it's bouncing around in the cup holder.
Got caught in a chop crossing the inlet and the radio went under for a second. Hit BURP, water shot out, kept talking. That's exactly why I bought it.
Performance is solid and the 6-watt output is great. It's just bigger and heavier in the hand than my old unit. Fine once you clip it on.
As a dad, having reliable communication with weather alerts matters more than anything else on the boat. This radio gives me both. The display is bright and readable, the channel scanning works well, and it survived an entire season of being handled by teenagers. Battery charges fast too.
I keep this in the ditch bag as a backup to my onboard VHF. Tested it on channel 16 and got clean, strong transmission. Weather alerts came through loud and clear during a recent front. Only wish it came with a spare battery pack.
Floats, loud, 6 watts. Done.
I've gone through a lot of radios over the decades. This Cobra has good range, a speaker you can actually hear, and it bounces right back up when you drop it overboard. The scan function is quick. Give it four stars only because the manual is nearly useless.
Radio works but the display fogs up from the inside after humid days and you can't read the channel. Never happened with my old brand. Disappointing for a marine-rated product.
