Victron Energy Smart Lithium LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V 300Ah with Bluetooth Monitoring and Integrated Cell Balancing (BMS Required, Sold Separately)

Swapped out 400Ah of AGM for one of these and I have more usable capacity, less weight, and faster charging. The Bluetooth app shows individual cell voltages which gives real confidence in the bank's health. Remember you need a Victron BMS sold separately — budget for that. Seven months of full-time RV living and zero complaints.

The cell balancing and monitoring are top notch and Bluetooth makes checking state of charge effortless. The only frustration is that a BMS is mandatory and not included, which adds real cost to the system. Performance once set up is flawless.

Fitted two of these in my trawler's house bank and the difference from flooded lead-acid is night and day. Charging is dramatically faster on my alternator runs, and I can check everything from the helm via the app. Terminals are solid and the case feels like it'll outlive me.

The battery itself is genuinely excellent — stable, well-balanced cells, accurate monitoring. But you're locked into buying the Victron BMS and ideally a compatible charger to unlock full functionality. By the time I finished the system, the 'great deal' battery price didn't feel so great anymore.

Six of these power my off-grid cabin through cloudy stretches that used to kill my old lead bank. 3,840Wh each means I rarely dip below 50% even running a full-size fridge and well pump. The integrated cell balancing means no maintenance — I just glance at the app once a week. Absolute workhorse.

At 300Ah it's still a two-person lift, though far lighter than the lead-acid it replaced. Performance is superb, and the low-temp charging protection gives me peace of mind in winter. Docking a star only because the Bluetooth range is short through a steel hull.

The battery charges and discharges fine, but the Bluetooth monitor constantly drops out on my phone. I've re-paired it a dozen times. For a 'smart' battery, the smart part is unreliable.

I did the math on cycle life versus AGM and lithium won by a mile. Two years and roughly 400 cycles in, capacity is still above 98% per the app's history. These will pay for themselves before I replace them.

Paired with a SmartSolar MPPT and the Victron BMS, this battery just works. The app shows me every cell, every temp sensor, everything. My husband handled the install in an afternoon. We run the whole campervan on it including an induction cooktop for short bursts.
