Up to roughly 5,800W of array at 48V. Panel count depends on string voltage: keep total Voc under 250V — typically 4–5 standard 60-cell panels in series, with multiple strings in parallel.
250V PV open-circuit voltage, including cold-temperature correction. Always verify your string Voc in worst-case cold conditions.
Yes — it supports lead-acid and lithium batteries with presets in the VictronConnect app.
Swapped out an older controller on my sailboat and this one integrated with my Cerbo and other Victron gear instantly over VE.Can. The MC4 connectors made the install clean — no crimping terminals. Bluetooth config was straightforward and the load harvesting on my 24V bank is noticeably better than the old PWM unit.
Fast shipping, well packaged, works perfectly with my lithium bank. Very pleased.
Been running this on our 48V DIY van build for about five months now. Charge efficiency is excellent and the app gives me all the data I could want. Only reason it's not five stars is the manual could be clearer about maximum string configurations. Otherwise a great controller that I'd buy again.
The controller itself does everything advertised and the MPPT tracking is genuinely good. But you end up spending extra on cables and connectors to actually use the VE.Can port properly. For the performance I can't complain too much, just budget for the extras.
I started with a 24V bank and later upgraded to 48V, and this controller handled the transition with just a settings change. The 250V input lets me run two strings of four panels in series which keeps amperage and wire losses down. Fan is quiet, enclosure feels beefy, and firmware updates have all been painless over Bluetooth. This is my third Victron product and they've earned a customer for life.
Unit works, but the cooling fan cycles on and off and is louder than expected for a device mounted inside my living space. Returned for a passive-cooled model.
Doubling my array meant I needed real charging capacity and this delivers. 100A into my 48V bank on good sun days, no drama, no heat issues even in summer. The history graphs in the app are genuinely useful for spotting shading problems. Recommend.
