Victron Energy GX LTE 4G-A Cellular Modem for GX Monitoring Devices, North America, Mini-SIM, Built-in GPS Receiver

My cabin has no internet, so this modem is my only link to the Cerbo GX. Now I check battery state, solar production, and alarms from my phone in the city. Setup took ten minutes with a cheap data SIM. Works exactly as Victron promised.

Keeps my GX device connected to VRM reliably even at my rural site where the signal is only two bars. Just remember VRM data usage counts against your SIM plan, so a small monthly data plan is needed. No complaints about the hardware itself.

I use this as a failover when my primary internet drops at the boatyard. It picks up the connection automatically and I never miss an alert. The built-in GPS is a nice bonus for tracking the tender too.

The modem itself works well once connected. Getting the mini-SIM configured took a few tries and some APN settings I had to dig up from my carrier. Patience required, but it's been stable since.

Used to make a 40-minute round trip to eyeball my off-grid system. Now the Cerbo dashboard comes to my phone via this modem. Should have bought it with the GX instead of a year later.

It connects GX devices to the cellular network, period, and it does that without fuss. Signal strength has been strong across three states of travel in my RV. Antenna placement matters, so mount it high.

Left the motorhome in Arizona for the winter and monitored battery voltage and temp remotely from home. Got a low-voltage alert in December that likely saved my batteries. This little box is insurance.
